Lukas 10:41-42
Martha, Martha jy besorg en verontrus oor baie dinge. Maar een ding het jy nodig, en Maria het die goeie deel uitgekies wat van haar nie weggeneem sal word nie. Die lewe is so n gejaag, doen die, doen daai, werk bly besig, dikwels is dit nie net ons fisiese self  wat so besig raak nie maar ons gedagtes ook. Ons stop eenvoudig nie, en raak so gewoond aan besig wees, so besef ons nie altyd wat ons besig is om te doen aan oneself nie. Ons moet dalk net Soos Maria kies om by die voete van Jesus te gaan sit, stil raak en luister, vergeet van wat gedoen moet word. Dit wat ons kry in die stilte van die oomblik is meer werd en sal altyd by ons bly. 

The creator of heavens and earth… God has His fingerprint imprinted on each of us. He created us to have fellowship with Him.He knows our every move , our every thought, He knows our needs before we can ask. Psalms 139:1-4 1 You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. Thou knowest my downshifting and mine uprising, thou understand what my thought afar off. Thou compassesy my path and my lying down and thou art acquainted with all my ways for there is not a word in my tongue but looking,nO Lord, thou knowest it all together. He is the Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the one that called us by name before we were created is the womb of our mothers. Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto nations. Because of sin we have no access to God, so He created a way for us only one way, Jesus. Why would the almighty all powerful God give us only one way? I think the real question would be, how would He give us any way? John 3:16 for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus came to teach us, and show us the way. He said to His disciples in John 14:6  Imam the way the truth and the life. He didn’t have to die, but He still chose to, so we can be washed clean by the blood that He shed. We have a choice we can choose to take His hand and accept the grace He is offering us. Jesus goes before the Father, the mediator between man and the Father 1  Timothy 2:5  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is the Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Jesus is the unshakable foundation we can build on, yes He died but He is also the resurrection. He was taken up to sit on the right hand of His Father, sending us the promise of the Holy Spirit. He is the one that convinces us Jesus is alive, He is the one convicting us of sin, every now and again we forget so He reminds us…. I find it so amazing that when we accept Jesus as our saviour the Holy spirit lives in us, I think of it as a piece of God in us 2 Corinthians 3:17  Now the Lord is Spirit and where the spirit is there is freedom.
At some point in my life I used to wonder what the purpose is for the Holy Spirt, I don’t think  I was the only one. If we give Him complete control of our lives He will take over He will  teach us, open God’s word for us He will Guide us, He will convict us when we sin, yes it is normal but that is when we have to repent. He will teach s to live like Jesus mor and more in righteousness. Like Paul said in Galatians 2:20 neverless I live but Christ lives in me. We just can not do it on our own. Sinces the only one that knows the will of the Father He prays through us and with us according to the will of the Father. Don’t look at the Spirit as just a spirit but try looking at Him as a person, for me that made a big difference for me. The Father,Son and the Holy spirit are 3 different people, but yet they are one. We worship 1 God as a Trinity and the Trinity as a unit. A little while ago someone asked me to explain this to them, all I could come up with was an egg. When you look at an egg you see one thing but when you open it there are three partsYellow –  Is God the creator, He is the one that gives life White – Is Jesus the one that saves us He is the bread of life and the living waterShell – Holy Spirit the one the convinces us and protects us. 

Luke 8:11-15 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.As the seed goes into the ground, it goes into darkness. Alone and dark I wait for the water to come through the soil, so the water can break through the shell and get to the middle where it is needed to make the seed grow. First the roots grow down then the tree will begin to push its way through the soil into the light. So is it with us as people and children of God, every word, verse or sermon is a seed that is sowed. As we keep hearing it, it gets watered to a point where we grow, as our roots are able to stand firm, only then are we able to grow and push trough the soil only to enter into a next stage/season of our lif as we grow in Christ Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens… As the seed grows and become a tree it will stand in the seasons of nature, so will we be standing in the seasons of life. Through the storms, wind and sunshine, through laughter and tears, doubt and fear. When summer comes the rain falls and the trees depend on the roots to absorb all the water it can to keep it going through winter. If the roots fail to get all it can get, the tree will die and not see another summer, or it might just be enough to get through, the tree might have a poor summer if not the same as the last. The more you grow the more you need.By standing firm on the word of God we can get out the valley sooner and we can bare the Fruit He intended for us and with that we can make a difference for someone else.

Matt 7:13-14Die skrif lees Gaan deur die nou poort, want breed is die pad wat na die verderf lei, en daar is baie wat daardeur gaan. want die poort is nou en die pad is smal wat na die lewe lei, en daar is min wat dit vind.

PUNT 1; BREED IS DIE PAD WAT NA DIE VERDERF LEI
Dit is die maklikste pad, jy het nie nodig om die pad dop te hou vir aanvalle, gate of klippe nie. Vergelyk dit met die hoofweg die pad is breed en mooi tot jy in doe stad kom, dan begin die jaag na geld en tyd. Dit is wanneer ons as mens vergeet van ons beginsels ons integriteit , n gejaag na die dinge wat die VLEES tevrede stel, soos egbreek, afgodery, afguns en selfsug dinge soos dit. En dan vergeet ons dat daar n grooter doel is. Wanneer ons die pad stap kan ons nie die koningkryk sien nie. SO MAW op die end van die dag het jy steeds niks .Matt 6:24Mark 7:21,22Jak 4:7

PUNT 2: NOU IS DIE POORT EN SMAL IS DIE PAD
Dit is meer ingewikkeld maar tog eenvoudig, vol konsentrasie weerstand klippe, gate en so ag en toe n boom wat geval het. As jy nie oplet noe kan jy so maklik die pad verloor. Die pad wys ook elkedag die wonderlike werke van die Vader, dit leer jou ook on elkedag nader aan Hom te kom  Spreuke 3:6-10met gebed, geloof en stilte van die pad leer jou om n verhouding met Hom te bou Openbaring 3:16 tot jy by jou bestemming kom. Matt 6:33 soek eers die Konongkryk van God en Sy geregtigheid en al hierdie dinge sal vir jou bygevoeg word.

PUNT 3: TWEE PAAIE
Matt 6:24 lees dat jy nie twee here kan dien nie, want jy sal die een life he en die ander haat, jy sal die een aanhang en die ander verag. Julle kan nie God en mammon dien nie.Wanneer jy met een wiel op die gronpad ry en doe ander opdie teerpad gaan jy jou bediening en verhouding met God skade doen asook die mense wat in ons lewens geplaas word wat jy moet bedien en die wat jou moet bedien. Ons dien n jaloerse God Hy wil ons alles he ons moet Hom eerste stel Hy is die begin en die einde.Jak 4:4Ons dien  ook n jaloerse God wat ons vir Homself wil he weer kyk oms na Openbaring 3:16

Eks 14:13-14Maar Moses het aan die volk gese: wees nie bevrees nie, Staan vas en aanskou die verlossing Wat die Here vandag vir julle bewerk. Soos julle die egipenaars vandag sien, sal julle hulle nie weer  sien  in ewigheid nie. Die Here sal vir jou stry en julle moet stil wees. So baie van  ons word vasgevang in die jaag van die dag tot dag lewe, bekomernisse neem oor, probleme lyk soos die See voor ons en egiptenare van agter met  Geen uitkoms nie. Dit gebeur wanneer ons vergeet on net stil te raak voor die Here. Al wat Hy van ons vra is dat ons moet vasstaan in geloof, en op Sy woord wat nie leeg terug keer nie en still raak, als net vir Hom gee en weet Hy sal vir ons stry. Staan vas enn wees stil

 

Who knows what my perception of ministry was, I think it might have been something along the lines of if you are a prophet you can only prophecy, if you have the gift of healing that is what you do. To be able to minister to people in any way you need to know the Bible by heart what verse goes where and the meaning of each of them.

You can be in ministry no matter what you do or where you are. Who you are in Christ always comes through in your daily life, a house wife and mother, or a ceo at some big company, it if about the willingness for God to use you. Yes, it can be tiring and draining you Spirit runs empty

 I had a friend working at one of the busiest shops in town, she touched so many lives just by being who she is not only in herself but who she is in Christ.

 Another friend if I can call her that is an amazing singer song writer, I think that she has the most amazing platform and she can reach so many people, with who she is in Christ and through the lyrics of a song she gets to write.

 We are all equipped with different things but also the same things, Luke chapter 9:1-2 it tells us in such a nice way

 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

 JOHN 17:21-23

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

The same power that is in Christ is in us, we must trust Him.

 Luke 9:10-17 the disciples was out doing what Jesus send them to do, as they got back they testified of the demons obeying their orders, why? They new and believed in the authority given to them.

We tend to get caught up in what we are doing so that we get drained and tired, and sometimes we forget to be still and feed ourselves as the disciples didn’t eat that day of the 5 fish and 2 bread. That is when Jesus will take us away to spend time with Him Rebuild our strength, but instead we only feel the loneliness and sometimes the emptiness and we pull away from Him.

If we keep pulling away, we won’t be able to hear His voice and we won’t be able to grow, look at it this way if you have a plant and you don’t water it, it will start hanging it’s leaves looking like it doesn’t want to continue with life. Then this magic happens when you water it, it starts to pick up it’s leaves again with us it is the same, we pout into others until we can’t yet still we try boom crash nothing left to give, the time we get pulled away to be alone is not a punishment but so that the living water of the word can give us new life.
