Seeds

Luke 8:11-15 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. As the seed goes into the ground, it goes into darkness. Alone and dark I wait for the water to come through the soil, so the water can break through the shell and get to the middle where it is needed to make the seed grow. First the roots grow down then the tree will begin to push its way through the soil into the light. So is it with us as people and children of God, every word, verse or sermon is a seed that is sowed. As we keep hearing it, it gets watered to a point where we grow, as our roots are able to stand firm, only then are we able to grow and push trough the soil only to enter into a next stage/season of our lif as we grow in Christ Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens… As the seed grows and become a tree it will stand in the seasons of nature, so will we be standing in the seasons of life. Through the storms, wind and sunshine, through laughter and tears, doubt and fear. When summer comes the rain falls and the trees depend on the roots to absorb all the water it can to keep it going through winter. If the roots fail to get all it can get, the tree will die and not see another summer, or it might just be enough to get through, the tree might have a poor summer if not the same as the last. The more you grow the more you need.By standing firm on the word of God we can get out the valley sooner and we can bare the Fruit He intended for us and with that we can make a difference for someone else.
